Adopt A Tree

Adopt a Tree (or several trees) at the Maine Heritage Orchard

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The best time to protect a Maine Heritage Orchard apple tree is today.

Did you know that it costs $300 to maintain each of our orchard trees every year? By donating $25 a month, you can maintain a tree for one year, or as many as you want. Along with your thank you letter, you’ll receive specific information about a variety you are helping to conserve here in Unity, and a Maine Heritage Orchard 2023 calendar as our gift to you.

Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar by the Woodcock Foundation as part of the Partridge Challenge in honor of Polly Guth.

Landsmith Farm in Waldoboro, Maine, organically grows a wide variety of high-quality, tasty vegetables, herbs, willow, and cut flowers using practices that prioritize the health of the land and its stewards. Their products are sold wholesale and direct-to-consumer through a variety of channels, including a farm stand, pick-your-own garden, and a future CSA (community supported agriculture) program. Landsmith Farm is owned and operated by Erin Espinosa, whose identities as a queer latina woman farmer ground the farm in values of reciprocity, community, and perseverance.
